We love you here in Roxie's World, and so, one week before Christmas, we have a little holiday treat for you that we sniffed out over at our new blog crush, Joe. My. God. Here's the most honest Republican campaign ad you will never see:
I dare my Auntie Faye to send this to her mom for Christmas! ;-)
Peace out, beloveds. Moose is on a grading binge.
You do! and we love you! brave Roxie, faithful Roxie, fellow-fighter and leader.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for that magnificent post on Hillary in Iowa! It's so much fun, isn't it, when a candidate you support achieves something essential, like that gaining of the Iowa newspaper endorsement.
Also on elect-ability, which Auntie Faye rightly questioned: another factor I think is to measure carefully the aptitude to run the campaign, to handle properly the reins of the chariot itself along that road to the White House. Hillary has huge experience in that going back to all those re-election runs when Bill was governor of Arkansas, and then two campaigns in New York on her own. She is an expert chess player politically and often makes moves in awesome combinations. I trust her there. She knows what others have taught: humility is the most powerful piece on the board.

I'm glad to hear your confidence, RA. I have to confess that, despite my bravado, all this talk lately and all this tightening of polls has made me a little nervous. I agree that Hillary is a great chess player, but some of her team's recent moves have suggested they may be nervous, too. And I'm just as annoyed as heck that, Krugman aside, no one is really looking critically at Obama's positions and noticing how naive and/or conservative they are. (This is one of Goose's current favorite rants, btw.)
ReplyDeleteSigh. It's going to be a long, chilly winter. I think Hillary is going to need to zip up that good, thick coat she's sporting in the photo on my previous post!
