There is something so intensely personal in each of our relations to her that many of us no doubt feel that way, but, yes, share her we must.

Thank you, friends and sister poet-lovers, world-builders. <3Roxie Smith Lindemannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06455529922082930949noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23938076.post-71681156063445970612012-04-03T18:52:57.926-04:002012-04-03T18:52:57.926-04:00It is strangely hard to share Rich, as if she belo...It is strangely hard to share Rich, as if she belongs to me and not to us all! But share we do, did, must, and will. For she is our companion in living. Care all us -- for each other. That is how we remember her and love the us she helped create.Katie Kinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15901518232103073849noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23938076.post-68908991766151316282012-04-03T13:07:58.800-04:002012-04-03T13:07:58.800-04:00Here's the photo of Adrienne Rich, Audre Lorde...Here's the photo of Adrienne Rich, Audre Lorde, and Meridel Lesueur taped to my office door in memoriam: http://bit.ly/Hl635V

Lovely post Roxie. I was able to use some line of Adrienne Rich or Audre Lorde writing as the jumping off point for almost everything I wrote at Yale: Old Testament exegesis: Rich + Lorde + Phyllis Trible; History of Xn Ethics; Fundamentals of Preaching; anything at all having to do with liberation theologies of any stripe. It's been far too long since I've read anything where I knew my world was shifting as I read it: On Lies, Secrets and Silence; Sister/Outsider. The sadness I've felt since I heard Rich had died has caught me a bit by surprise.
